The dimensions of New Work in office furnishings

Digitalization, globalization and AI are changing the world of work - a profound upheaval. Processes that used to be time-consuming are now often automated and performed at the click of a mouse. At the same time, there is a massive shortage of skilled workers in many areas. Despite the automated world of work, employee appreciation is becoming increasingly important. Empathy and knowledge transfer are also becoming increasingly important. New Work manifests itself in three main dimensions of office design: digitalization, changing structures and agile working methods. New Work opens up new opportunities for companies and their productivity, as well as benefits for individual employees. The fact is that the upheaval must be taken into account when planning and designing offices. The market has innovative solutions for this.

Hybrid working for better employer branding

Hybrid working is not just a trend, it is an epochal change. It's not just about the office or home office, because hybrid working has been taking place remotely or on the move on ICE trains and planes, across locations, at trade fairs or in cafés for decades. Corona and the home office debate have acted as an accelerant and put digitalization to the test. The "own" office as the sole place of work is now almost out. According to a short study by the Fraunhofer IAO and the German Association for Human Resource Management, office management will change considerably, with desk sharing and specific, activity-based office zones on the rise. People are already working at the Meeting Point, in retreat or project zones, in creative areas, via desk sharing and, of course, @home. Companies are called upon not only to "take along" the advantages such as efficiency, flexibility, space and cost savings, but also to further develop digitalized networking and the office world in a company- and employee-oriented manner. In terms of employer branding, this ensures real benefits such as empathy and high employee satisfaction.

Large, open office spaces = more communication

New Work not only requires more efficient use of office space - it is also becoming increasingly important to structure large spaces according to requirements. Which design concept is the right one depends on many factors, such as the forms of work or corporate values. Open-plan offices with desks are not a solution for agile working. If you are looking for change, implement modern concepts such as open-space or reversible offices. The latter aim to maximize flexibility, as they can be converted at any time to suit the work situation. Companies can also implement new working methods and processes with open-plan offices with flexible room partitioning elements - but the design must be well thought out, for example by planning functional areas such as individual workstations for concentrated PC work, meeting points, retreat areas and much more. Despite all the functionality, feel-good character, lightness and style should not be neglected, after all, home and office are becoming increasingly intertwined - so planning also requires a feel for homely design. The advantages of New Work here are: freedom to work, more interaction and a high level of creativity. And the employer brand scores points With office environments that radiate lightness and homeliness.

Open, relaxed shelving concepts for a more comfortable atmosphere

Open, loosened-up shelving concepts offer a solution. One example of this is the WINEA MAXX open Bookcases from WINI Büromöbel. The product extension of the WINEA MAXX storage system allows large office landscapes to be structured and made more homely with the help of (backless) Room dividers. Modular in design, the furniture can be flexibly arranged, changed or extended.

Multifunctional table solutions for more flexibility

Agile working requires flexible furniture - furniture that is mobile, movable and variable. For example, office furniture that can be quickly adjusted to individual ergonomics, that is multifunctional, that can be transported in a few simple steps and that can be stowed away to save space. WINEA FLOW MEET is a good example of this. The new desks from WINI Büromöbel were developed specifically for agile working. Foldable and equipped with casters, they can be quickly "moved" to any location at any time, electrically height-adjusted and even converted into a whiteboard.
